    Treating A Vaginal Yeast Infection
At least seventy five percent of all women will fall victim to a vaginal yeast infection at some point in the life. The majority of women won't even realize they are suffering from an infection until after it has become uncomfortably symptomatic. Because all women are built differently, it is not uncommon for women to have different symptoms when it comes to an infection. Some signs of a vaginal yeast infection include vaginal discharge, painful and / or frequent urination, painful intercourse, or a burning / itching sensation. You can often times figure out how far along the infection is by how severe the symptoms may be.

If you are symptomatic of a vaginal infection or  yeast infection, consulting a doctor is a good idea. Most doctors will prescribe either an antibiotic and / or an anti-inflammatory mediciation to help fight the infection, however some people may have worsened symptoms after taking these medicines. They may also cover up symptoms of an infections, which can make properly treating it more difficult. A great way to target a yeast infection is by targeting the main cause. Natural treatments of yeast infections are great because they help prevent re-occurance of the infections, while not harming the healthy bacteria. Some natural treatments include assorted vitamins, the avoidance of certain carbohydrates, garlic, and consumption of certain kinds of yogurts - all of which can naturally target the symptoms and help lessen the chance of reoccrances.

If treated properly, vaginal infections or yeast infections can be easily treated so that they are non-reoccuring. If you are symptomatic, a doctor can help by prescribing antibiotics and anti-inflammatory medicines, however going the route of natural treatments is a better idea as they are a more effective way to target the real causes of the infection. Natural treatments target only the unhealthy bacterias while leaving the healthy bacterias alone, and are a better way to prevent reoccurance of a yeast or vaginal infection.
